Piotr Szurek graduated from the State College of Fine Arts (PWSSP, currently: the University of Arts) in Poznań, 1987. He works in printmaking, drawing, and painting. He has participated in many solo shows, including exhibitions in Paris, Luxembourg, Brussels, Nancy, Longwy, Kharkiv, Wiesbaden, Ho Chi Minh City. He has also participated in many group exhibitions in Poland and abroad. He has received many prestigious awards. He works as a professor at the Poznań University of Art and at the University of Zielona Góra.
