biography

Born in 1995. Student of Art Department in Pedagogical University in Krakow. Bachelor’s diploma made in intaglio printing workshop, guided by prof. UP Marcin Pawłowski. Works mainly with traditional graphic and drawing. In his works he is searching for factors that shape us as people. Member of Izomer artistic group.

Concept of bachelor’s diploma was to create a series of matrixes depicting in a characteristic, graphic form, fragments of the human body that potentially serve to connect them into the image of a human. They can also act as autonomous, individual values - outside the context of the whole. The work is presented as two figures arranged side by side, composed partly of the same elements, but differing in terms of matter, its structure and other formal features. The second element of the presentation is the figure printed on the fabric, stapled all together, presented in a form consciously referring to the shroud.Individual matrices were created using the method I developed consisting in wiping the drawing in a layer of etching varnish and obtaining the final effect by etching this drawing in the aquatint technique.
The project is open - you can go back to it at any time, adding new matrixes, or composing subsequent versions of characters from existing elements. The prints are also evidence of changes; traces of searching for the right form. They show the essence of creation and determine the final expression of work. ¬The assumption of the cycle was also to show the complexity of the structure of the human figure and the possibility of creating new representations, referring in form to various ways of presenting man in the history of art.
