self-commentary

The two-sided volume of poetry Haiku IV contains sixteen short haiku poems related to the seasons and the accompanying moods. The size of the book is 19x17 cm. One of the parts has printed text and blind print -  which is embossed in Japanese. The second part includes my own calligraphy and black and white illustrations. I made the graphics using simple and natural stamps and matrices, i.e. leaves, flowers, grass, string, tree bark, and black ink. Printed on white Fabriano paper is the essence of simplicity and elegance. To assemble my original book, I used the classic Japanese sewing with golden string, which adds a bit of sparkle. The book is sewn, folded, and glued by myself. In my work, I wanted to present the extraordinary spirit of haiku, which touches, reflects great expression, as well as subdued feelings, which through its non-obvious content makes it possible to analyze and notice the charm of everyday matters.
