biography

Małgorzata Szram, born in 1989 in Kraków. In 2009 she finished Antoni Kenar's Art High School in Zakopane, specjality sculpture. In 2012 she has defended Bachelor thesis of Graphics in prof. Krzysztof Tomalski's studio as a student of Art Education in Nowy Sącz.  In 2015 she finished Graphics on Art Department of Silesian Universty in Cieszyn. Małgorzata got a diploma with honors in a studio of prof. Joanna Piech-Kalarus (graphic workshop) amd in dr hab. Stefan Lechwar's studio (graphic design).

Małgorzata olso is interested in ceramics, photography, litography and other kinds of graphic thechniques, also creating her own. Her main inspiration is nature and human's contact with it.

She also has an expirience in organising many different artistic events like outdoor art, workshops or performance. She was taking part in over 50 group exhibitions, and her first individual exhibition was in Mała Galeria (Small Gallery) in Nowy Sącz in 2016.

„Haiku in my graphics” is a series of works in which I tried to catch and save a fleeting moment. It is determinated by sight flash of imagination, which activates the deepest intuitions, accompanying emotions and memories. Insired by short, Papanese poetic form – Haiku, I tried to create works which don't allow to make any specific interpretation, but giving the oportunity for free reflections and feelings.

Basic assumption was using organic elements of the nature world. That is how to create unique matrices were used leaves of Ginkgo Japanese. Choosing shape and size of leaves, manipulating with their arrangement and intesity of the marks they are leaving on a paper, I tried to create the illusion of three-dimensional space on a flat surface. Thanks to that, presented works open their intimate space, tell the alluring narration, calling out emotions depending of sensitivity and imagination of the viewer. The techniqe I used is arduous and demanding process. Fragile matrices are not stationary and easily can be destroyed. The main part of the process is made on the graphic press. It takes a lot of effort and patience, but it takes a lot of creative ways and makes the works unique.

The set contains eight works made in own techniqe, entitled: Rythm, Concentration, Immensity, Freedom, Up, Desintegration, Harmony, Transience.
