An article about me in the Głos Pszczyński "Young talents" in 2014

Thesis creates a series of five prints made in the technique of relief printing - linocut, each measuring 55cm x 80cm. They depict landscapes enclosed in a transparent cuboids. Black edges emphasize the limitation of space. The trees are the main theme of the work. Orchard near the lighthouse, forest path
at night, lonely tree on the island and a group of trees on the hills.

The creation of the scene takes place in the following manner. First, I performed a small, linear, fastsketches in pencil or pen, which contained a very general outline of the composition. My goal was to treat the substrate and technology as a medium, not a copy method previously carefully planned composition. I wanted to release the paint in the graphic. And when it comes to process, which is always something changes and we do not know what will be the end result, and if it goes on smooth gradations, light and climate. I used track building tools lumpiness landscape. I tried to use a chisel as a brush. The entire surface was covered with black linoleum and "I painted" chisel white. To achieve the desired gray I was using very fine cuts. Dots, dashes, teardrop and fine lines I used to show the unreal scenery. My goal was to find a way to show the transparency of water and air, but also light and space and create a climate thanks to the uncanny.

Contrary to appearances, the "Capsule" is a very personal work. These are not only closed landscapes. These are my time capsule. Each artwork is clipping unreal, imaginary world, supported memories and impressions. They combine and mix the place where I spent the first years of life with my favorite illustrations and cartoons. Works by artists such as Tove Janson, Tony Wolf and Stanislav Kovalev and Eyvind Earle accompanied me since childhood and now also willing to come back to them. Linocuts
also wear track fascination with the work of Japanese designers and M.C.Escher climate and images of David Inshaw. Capsules are the result of combining experience and fascination, places where I like tohide once in a while.
