biography

born 1992

diploma in the studio of Intermedia and Digital Techniques, Faculty of Arts, Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. Most of the artwork I did, was realistic, they were about the relationship between people, I tried to capture it. My interest in a relationship began to shift from portraying to creating and involving art recipients in the art works. Naturally, I began to move away from realism in favor of geometrization, graphics and symbolism. Number of individual exhibitions: 5 Number of collective exhibitions: 13

self-commentary

Bełcode: the board game.

The construction of the board is inspired by the Maxicode graphics code. The instruction is written using Maxicode. The player should install an application for reading graphic codes on his phone, to read it. Instruction is also a scenario, an algorithm for building graphics and creating a dialogue between players. During the game, using augmented reality, a "transcript" of the game is read from the board. Above the board is a camera that analyzes the situation through a computer program. When you change the number of points on the board – another Latin alphabet character is drawn and displayed. These signs create unique, abstract, gibberish texts. The elements of the game are not a finished work, they determine the field of activity of the recipients, potential players. Bełcode encourages dialogue, it is a place of dialogue between players. The end result of each game is unique spatial graphics.
